WHEN TRADITIONAL "TALK" THERAPY ISN'T ENOUGH — CALL (919) 756-6210

Raleigh, NC & Telehealth Statewide

You held the line. You don't have to hold this alone.

Therapy for veterans, service members, and first responders — from a practice that works with trauma every day, not occasionally.

In-person in Raleigh, NC · Telehealth statewide

This may be a fit if you notice:

  • Post-traumatic stress, diagnosed or not
  • Sleep or anger that doesn't settle
  • Moral injury — the weight of what you did, or couldn't do
  • Distance from the people closest to you

What Brings People Here

You've spent your career being the person who handles it — the one who stays steady while everyone else comes apart. That capacity is real and it's worth something. It can also make it very hard to be the one who needs help.

What We Understand About the Work

Disclosure carries real risk

Fitness-for-duty reviews, clearances, promotion boards, what a supervisor might hear. We treat confidentiality as a clinical matter and talk through the specifics of your situation early — rather than leaving you to guess.

Stoicism isn't the problem

We're not going to dismantle the thing that got you through. The goal is access to more than one setting, not the loss of the one that works.

You don't need a story ready

Much of the trauma work here doesn't require detailed verbal recounting. If talking it through in sequence isn't something you can do — or want to do — there are approaches that work differently.

Our Veteran Program

Our clinicians are specially trained in military culture through Star Behavioral Health Providers, so treatment is shaped around how this population actually experiences the world — not general practice with a veterans page attached.

Trauma-Specialist Care, Not General Practice With a Veterans Page

The approaches we use most with this population — each one also has its own page on the site.

Getting Started

In person in North Raleigh, or by telehealth statewide. Telehealth matters here — if you're north of the city, working rotating shifts, or simply not interested in sitting in a waiting room.

If you're in crisis right now

This page is about ongoing therapy, not emergency care. Veterans Crisis Line: dial 988, then press 1 — or text 838255. 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline: dial 988.

Please double-check these numbers are still current before this page goes live.

Any of this can be treated. None of it means you're broken.

If you're weighing whether it's worth a call — that hesitation is common, and it's not a reason to wait.
